After Sales Technical Project Manager

Position: After Sales Technical Project Manager

Reports to: Operations Manager


Position Summary: Communicate with and support existing Dedert customers through the After Sales Department. Proactively discuss proper maintenance and repair of all Dedert sold equipment installed at customer locations. Handle incoming calls as well as schedule and execute inspection trips to customer sites in order to determine the necessary parts and services to return customers’ plant to a fully serviceable condition. Prepare detailed inspection reports. Determine cost of parts/repairs and provide quotations to customers. Oversee repair of equipment at customer sites and/or vendor locations providing supervision, technical expertise and guidance ensuring proper repair utilizing safe methodologies. Work together with the After Sales team to execute customer orders including procurement, receipt and inspection of goods, packaging, and shipping to customer locations.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key component of Dedert’s interaction with our customers post original equipment installation
  • Handle service calls and make customer visits
  • Determine the source of customers’ equipment problem and/or need for maintenance items
  • Identify the correct replacement parts utilizing Dedert’s historical experience
  • Determine cost of parts and service required
  • Prepare and send to customer a detailed quotation for the parts and service
  • Dismantle, clean, inspect, repair and assembly atomizer and other equipment sub-systems to be returned to service
  • After receipt of customers’ order; procure, receive, inspect, package and ship the parts to the end user’s location


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Engineering and/or technical degree preferable
  • Minimum five years experience in the identification and sourcing of parts and services related to machines/machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Understanding of the basics of equipment design and function to determine corrective action when necessary
  • Use of a variety of tools to accurately measure and repair equipment components
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong sales skills
  • Highly Skilled in Effective Organization
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to travel 10 to 20% of the time
