As a key role in the Engineering and Leadership Team, our Organization is looking to direct hire the above opportunity, as a Leader of Design and Engineering at Gared. In this role you thrive on working within our Organization to continue the strong growth we have realized throughout the years, doing so with strong collaboration and in an effective manner. Being that value-add contributor and strong Team player, understanding our market and the core needs of our customers. Working in collaboration with our Project Management and Operations Teams to ensure products and our commitment to our customers are met as scheduled. Successfully delivering and meeting our customer’s expectations in quality continually, as well, working to promote and drive strong innovation and new product efforts and initiatives. Having the ability to be a key stakeholder in ensuring those initiatives are done so in a systematic manner with a strong MOC structure. Having the ability to participate in effective communication at all levels of our Organization.
Managing and development of innovation, new products and design improvements
Maintaining documentation of design and manufacturing drawings
Develops and leads the performance of existing and new product testing. Having the ability to develop and establish targets to be achieved and maintain documentation.
Develops, maintains and adjusts part masters, product BOM’s and routings into manufacturing systems.
Assist in building and supporting of engineering calculations, design templates and calculation spreadsheets for “standard” custom products.
Assist in identifying manufacturing machinery and components to support new product designs.
Assist in customer inquiries and feedback to products in the field.
Assist in the quoting and costing of custom products being specified.
Some but minimal travel to projects as needed.
- Manage 3rd party engineering resources
Bachelor’s degree of Engineering with Professional Engineering License.
Minimum 5+ years of hands on mechanical design experience desired.
Extensive 3D CAD experience.
Autodesk Inventor experience preferred/
Experience in metal fabrication and assembly.
Strong Team Player
Hands on mechanical experience desired
Strong or superior communication skills
Strong computer skill (Microsoft Office)
