Senior Consulting Engineer

SUMMARY

The ANSYS Customer Excellence (ACE) team is looking for a Senior Consultant who will be responsible for delivering industry-leading embedded software solutions for an aerospace customer based in Phoenix, AZ. The consultant will develop and implement advanced solutions for embedded software controls. The Consulting Engineer will also guide and mentor the customer's global engineering workforce to ensure their success in adopting ANSYS software tools.

This position will be located on-site at a customer's office location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce advanced, high-impact technical solutions for an aerospace customer's end-to-end process of control software implementation:
    • Create a process workflow to go from system-level control law specifications down to embedded software code, using model-based tools
    • Develop re-usable libraries and best practices for software modeling in SCADE
    • Integrate with state-of-the-art verification tools to produce a next-generation methodology for model-based software testing
    • Consult on the overall software process and develop enhancements to the customer's development and V&V processes
  • Communicate with the customer and internal ANSYS teams to ensure strong teamwork towards the customer's ongoing success
    • Deliver thorough technological training and advice for the customer's engineering teams
    • Listen to the customer's requirements to refine objectives and provide guidance to management
    • Facilitate engagement with the broader ANSYS technical organization for advanced support and execution of service projects
    • Facilitate engagement with ANSYS development organization by sharing customers' needs for feature enhancements and defect fixes
  • Work as an integral member of the Sales and ACE teams to increase adoption of ANSYS tools


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in C/C++ for embedded systems
  • Previous experience in consulting a complex organization on their software development and verification processes
  • Experience with Model-Based Software Engineering tools such as SCADE is a plus
  • Able to enthusiastically learn new technology and adapt it to deliver robust software solutions
  • Effective communication skills to teach an advanced solution to the customer and to flow back technical needs to the product team
  • Familiar with delivering software complying with RTCA DO-178C


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MS or PhD degree preferred
  • Experience with Python scripting is preferred
  • Experience with Model-Based software engineering tools such as SCADE is a plus
  • Must have customer service aptitude and maintain customer focus
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time ( up to 25% of the time if not located in Phoenix AZ)
