As the lead developer of radars for some of the most advanced systems in the U. S. arsenal, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is a world leader in advanced radar systems and design. These include radars for the F-22, Joint Strike Fighter, F-16, B-1B, AWACS, MESA, G/ATOR and UAV systems such as Global Hawk.
Position Summary / Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for the implementation and test of advanced signal- and data-processing algorithms for sensor systems using simulated and real data. Included are advanced techniques such as machine learning, adaptive signal processing, image processing, multiple hypothesis tracking, distributed resource management, data fusion, and statistical analysis of system performance.
The candidate will be required to support a lead systems engineer in developing system specifications derived from customer requirements. Duties will include data analysis, system issue resolution, test derivation/validation, as well as supporting lead systems engineers for design and modeling tasks.
Some travel required for meetings and program support, as well as test and evaluation of system performance during deployment.
Must be self-motivated, and have the ability to work semi-independently to accomplish goals. Must be capable of understanding a complex problem, developing an approach to solve it, and implementing that approach.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, with 2 years related experience, 0 years with a Master's Degree.
- Proficiency with engineering programming languages (e. g. C/C++, MATLAB, Python) and Microsoft Office suite (i. e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance
